This article is part of the Pioneer Resource Center, which provides information, guidance, and resources for Pioneers and Community Champions to help them activate and grow their local Stitch community. You can find an overview of the Pioneer Program here.

The Pioneer Resources are here to help you activate Stitch in your local area. They make you more visible and help people find you at Stitch events. These are resources you can use yourself to grow your community.

The Pioneer Resources include:

  • Flyers

  • Posters

  • Stickers

  • Event Application Template

  • Local News Template

Personal Invite Code

The flyers and posters have a generic 10% discount code for new members to join Stitch. You can replace this with your Personal Invite Code to earn rewards each time someone joins. There are instructions for how to do this in Adding Your Personal Invitation Code To Flyers And Posters.

Flyers, Posters and Stickers

You can print these flyers, posters and stickers at home or send them to a print shop to get them printed professionally. There’s no expectation on you to use or print these, but they're here if you find them helpful.

These must only be printed in color on white paper.

The flyers are A5 (half-letter size) are helpful to have on the table for people to take away, or to put in letterboxes in areas where people over 50 live. They also have a QR code, so you could just get one printed and have people scan it on their phones to find the Stitch website.

The posters can be printed in A4 (letter size) or A3 (tabloid size). These are good for putting on walls, notice boards, pinboards and in shop windows, library windows, event centers, doctors and chemists, bars, pubs and venues where people over 50 might go. They have a QR code, so you only need to put one up, and people can scan it on their phones to find the Stitch website.

The stickers have different sizes. You can get the large ones printed as bumper stickers for your car or window. You can get the small ones printed on label paper to attach to your shirt for an event.

If you use any of these, please take a photo and let us know!

Event Application Template

This template is to help you apply to have a stall, table or stand at a farmer's market, trade show or festival where people over 50 are likely to attend. It supplies answers to application form questions that you can copy and paste to fill out a form.

How To Approach Your Local News

This template contains instructions and a sample email / letter that you can use to approach a local newspaper, radio station or TV channel. Follow the instructions and personalize the email. Getting in the news is a very effective way to grow your local Stitch community.

Customizing the resources

You may want to add your own words or images to the Stitch flyers, posters and stickers. You might want to download the logo and make your own items. This enthusiasm is fantastic! However, we don't want to create the opportunity for a bad actor to misuse the Stitch brand. Instead, message Maddy on Stitch or email design@stitch.net with your request, and we will create your own personalized asset in a few minutes and send it back to you. There are specific instructions for image and text requests in Customizing the Posters, Flyers and Stickers.
