Written by Andrew Dowling

Want to see more of the right people on Stitch? Your companionship preferences tell Stitch who to suggest — whether you are looking for friendship, romance, or both, and how near or far you would like them to be.

To update your preferences:

  1. Select More from the top menu.

  2. Select Profile & Settings.

  3. Select Companionship Preferences.

What the companionship icons mean

On the Companionship Preferences screen, you will see two icons that represent the types of connection available on Stitch:

  • Red heart — you are looking for romance.

  • Teal people icon — you are looking for friendship. You can select one or both. When both are selected, both icons appear on your member card so other members can see what you are open to.

Change the type of companionship you are looking for

In the Search Criteria section of the Companionship Preferences screen, you can set what kind of connection you are looking for and which genders you would like Stitch to suggest.

  1. Tap the companionship type you want — friendship, romance, or both.

  2. Select the gender or genders you would like to see.

  3. Your changes save automatically.

Change your distance preferences

The Distance Preferences section controls how far away the members Stitch suggests can be.

  1. On the Companionship Preferences screen, find the Distance Preferences slider.

  2. Drag the slider left to focus on members in your local area.

  3. Drag the slider right to include members from a wider area of the Stitch community.

  4. Your changes save automatically.

Note: You can return to this screen at any time to adjust your distance preferences as your situation changes.
