Found an activity you'd love to join, but it's already full? Stitch's waitlist feature means you still have a chance.
When you join the waitlist, Stitch will automatically add you as an attendee if a spot opens up and you're next in line — as long as the activity starts more than 24 hours away.
Important: If a spot opens up less than 24 hours before the activity starts, the system will not automatically promote you. The organizer will need to manually invite the next person on the waitlist.
The sections below explain how the waitlist works for attendees and for organizers.
How it works for attendees
If an activity is full, the Attend button is replaced by a Join waitlist button at the top of the activity page as shown in the screenshot below:
To join the waitlist:
Open the activity page for the activity you want to attend.
Select the Join waitlist button at the top of the page.
Stitch adds your name to the waitlist. You'll see a confirmation on screen.
To check your position on the waitlist, open the Attendees tab on the activity page. The waitlist is shown below the confirmed attendees.
If a spot opens up more than 24 hours before the activity starts, Stitch will automatically move you from the waitlist to the attendee list and notify you.
How it works for organizers
As an organizer, Stitch manages your waitlist automatically in most cases.
If a spot opens up more than 24 hours before the activity starts:
Stitch automatically moves the next member on the waitlist into the attendee list. You don't need to do anything.
If a spot opens up less than 24 hours before the activity starts:
Stitch sends you an email notification. You'll need to manually invite the next member on the waitlist to fill the spot.
If you want to fill a last-minute spot as quickly as possible, you can post an announcement on the activity page letting all attendees know a space has opened up. The first member to respond gets the spot, regardless of their position on the waitlist.
Disabling the waitlist
Important: If you disable the waitlist after members have joined it, Stitch removes all waitlisted members. Re-enabling the waitlist does not restore those members — they will need to rejoin the waitlist manually.
