If your phone number is already linked to a different Stitch account, you won’t be able to use it until it’s unlinked from that account. The steps to fix this depend on your situation.

If you still have access to the old account

  1. Log in to the old account and deactivate it. If you're not sure how to do this, see our article on How to Deactivate or Delete Your Stitch Account.

  2. Once the account is deactivated, your phone number will be available to link to your current account.

If you don't have access to the old account

  1. Go to your Account Information page.

  2. Under the Phone number section, click “Verify your phone number” or “Change your phone number.”

  3. Enter your phone number, then confirm it using the verification code sent to you.

  4. Once you’ve confirmed your code, you’ll see a prompt to transfer ownership of your phone number to your current account.

  5. Follow the instructions provided, and our Support team will help you unlink your number from the old account so you can use it with your current one.
